Good News, Bad News

First, the good news: Jonathan requested a bowl to throw up in!
The bad news: He really did throw up in the bowl...

I guess we're not going to church again tomorrow.

Not Dead... Yet

Another week of the stomach bug... We thought we were over it (no symptoms for 3 days), so we actually went out to a party... Oops. Isaac was SO SICK afterwards! I'm still hoping that we just taxed him too soon, and didn't actually go out while he was contagious... Anyway, we didn't make it to church again, for the second week in a row. I thought that if we gave Isaac some time, he'd be fine, but yesterday, Mark woke up with a cough and a sore throat. Don't know how we caught something new when we're stuck at home, but apparently, we're just that good!
Amy was smarter than me and decided not to come to piano lessons (even though it'd been more than 24 hours since anybody had any stomach symptoms), which turned out to be good because Isaac got sick yesterday afternoon too. *Sigh*
We all went to bed at 8 last night (yes, ALL of us). I only had to get up with Isaac once, which is good progress! EVERYTHING in the house has been scrubbed with bleach, and everybody HAS to drink orange juice at every meal now. Maybe we'll make it through this.

How The Daddy Stole Christmas

So, all of the pictures and video we took on Christmas morning are on Mark's phone. Unfortunately, every time he's home, we are dealing with more of the never-ending stomach bug (soooo ready to be done with that!) OR our internet is punking out (I THINK it's the wireless card, so we'll have to order a new part and repair it). One day, we MIGHT get to post some Christmas pictures, but it'll probably be about the time we have pictures of completed bathrooms...
Speaking of the bathrooms, we did manage to get one new toilet and floor in before the plague hit us. (Which is awesome, because being down a toilet for the last week would've been disastrous!) The new floor looks even better than anticipated, and Mark did an awesome job with it. Now we've got to do baseboards and put everything back together, and then one bathroom is done! Hurray!
Other good news: the James Holmes case will NOT be picking a jury when Mark goes in for jury duty this week. (Hurray!) We got assigned to the Sunday School class I've been wanting to take for the last 9 years, but I always got called into Primary instead - this time, I'm protected! Isaac managed to hold it together during this stomach bug, and I hardly had to clean up after him - he's getting good aim with a bucket! We missed our chance to go to the temple before they closed for cleaning this month, but the youth managed to baptize and confirm the family names we desperately wanted to get done.
Eventually. I WILL post more pictures/videos, I just have to wait for enough of the stars to align to be able to! (Speaking of astronomical phenomenon, anybody else get to see Apophis pass by Earth? My boys thought it was cool, and I just like the name.)

Knock, Knock

Isaac's Joke:

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Watermelon.
Watermelon who?
Giant penguin!

Jon caught on that this was funny, so he thought he'd give it a try:

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Bear.
Bear who?
Uhhhhh... (Giggles)

Yes, that's how that actually went. Good thing Jonathan can laugh at his own jokes.
